地理位置 Geographical Location

澳門特別行政區是中國領土的一部份,位於中國大陸東南沿海,地處珠江三角洲的西岸,毗鄰廣東省,與香港相距60公里,距離廣州145公里。本地時間比格林威治子午線時間早8小時。原點地理座標為北緯22º12’40″,東經113º32’22″。

The Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) is a part of China’s territory. It is located on the Southeast coast of China to the west of the Pearl River Delta. Bordering on Guangdong Province, it locates 60km from Hong Kong and 145km from the city of Guangzhou. Local time is eight hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time.

面積 Area

澳門的總面積因為沿岸填海造地而一直擴大,自有記錄的1912年的11.6平方公里逐步擴展至今年的 30.3 平方公里。另外,澳門大學新校區面積為1.0平方公里。澳門包括澳門半島、氹仔島和路環島。嘉樂庇總督大橋、友誼大橋和西灣大橋把澳門半島和氹仔島連接起來,而路氹填海區把氹仔和路環兩個離島連為一體。

Due to land reclamation along its coastline, Macao has grown in land area from 11.6 square kilometres in 1912 to 30.3 square kilometres. Macao consists of the Macao peninsula and the two islands of Taipa and Coloane. Three bridges, Nobre de Carvalho Bridge, Friendship Bridge (Ponte da Amizade) and Sai Van Bridge, link the peninsula to Taipa, while the two islands are linked by COTAI Reclamation Area.

人口 Population

現時,澳門居住人口估計為 642,900。人口密度每平方公里21218人。澳門半島北區更為世界人口密度最高的城區之一。

The population of Macao is estimated to be 642,900. Population density is 21218/square kilometre, and the northern part of the peninsula is one of the most densely populated areas in the world.

澳門人口近20年快速增長,每年以接近4%的幅度增加,2014年為4.6%。人口自然增長率為千分之8.7。人口淨遷移有23,300人,按年上升11.5%,主要是在澳門居住的外地僱員增加所致。

The population has increased rapidly over the past 20 years, with an annual growth of four percent. In 2013, the growth rate was 4.4 percent. The natural growth rate was 0.78 percent in 2013. The number of net immigrants was 20,900, a year-on-year rise of 8.9 percent. The increase was mainly attributed to the influx of non-resident workers.

2014澳門人口估計中,49.4%為男性,50.6%為女性。在年齡組別方面,11.4%為14歲或以下,80.2%介於15到64歲,8.4%為65歲或以上。

Population estimate of Macao as at 2014: 49.4 percent of the resident population were male and 50.6 percent were female. In terms of age structure, the youth population aged under 14 makes up 11.4 percent of the total, and 80.2 percent are aged between 15 and 64. Those aged 65 years and older accounts for 8.4 percent of the population.

根據2011人口普查詳細結果,58.2萬居住人口中,中國籍居民佔92.3%,葡國籍佔0.9%及菲律賓籍佔2.7%。

The results of the Census 2011 also indicated that among the population of 582,000, 92.3 percent was Chinese, 0.9 percent was Portuguese, and 2.7 percent was Filipino.

澳門的官方語文分別是中文及葡文。澳門以中文為日常用語的居住人口約94%,而使用葡萄牙語的人口則為0.7%,其餘人口使用英語及其他語言。

Chinese and Portuguese are the official languages of Macao, and more than 94 percent of the population speak Chinese. Portuguese is spoken by about 0.7 percent and the remainder speak English or other languages.

居澳時間方面,超過50%人口在澳門居住超過15年。至於出生地點,在澳門出生的居民約40.9%,在中國大陸出生的居民約46.2%,在其他地方出生者超過10%。

According to the results of the Census 2011, more than 50 percent of Macao’s population have been living in the territory for more than 15 years. Meanwhile, 40.9 percent of the population were born in Macao and 46.2 percent were born in the Mainland, while more than 10 percent of residents are from other regions.

氣候 Climate

澳門位於亞熱帶地區,北靠亞洲大陸,南臨廣闊熱帶海洋,冬季主要受中、高緯度冷性大陸高壓影響,多吹北風,天氣較冷而且乾燥,雨量較少。夏季主要受來自海洋的熱帶天氣系統影響,以吹西南風為主,氣溫較高,濕度大,降雨量充沛。

Macao is situated in a subtropical zone, with the Asian continent to the north and a wide tropical sea to the south. In winter, Macao experiences a north wind, cold and dry weather and low rainfall, due to a cold continental high-pressure system at medium and high latitudes. In summer, Macao is mainly subject to southwesterly winds, hot and wet weather and heavy rainfall, due to the influence of oceanic tropical weather systems.

澳門年平均氣溫為22.6℃,氣溫最低的1月份平均溫度為15.1℃,但有時也會出現最低溫度在5℃以下的天氣。月平均溫度在22℃以上的月份則多達7個月。

Macao has an average annual temperature of 22.6ºC. The coolest month is January, when it averages 15.1ºC. Most years, Macao has a short, cold weather period when temperatures fall below 5ºC. The average monthly temperature exceeds 22ºC during seven months of the year.

澳門常受颱風吹襲,颱風季節為每年5月至10月,其中7月至9月是颱風吹襲最多的月份。

Macao is frequently hit by typhoons. The typhoon season starts in May and ends in October, with July and August as its peak period.
